Discovered Hulu

Posted in

Over the last week, I've discovered www.hulu.com.  The thing that's great about it is the History Channel shows that I can't otherwise get because I don't have cable.  Putting on a Hulu show while I'm doing something mind-numbingly boring makes life life much more endurable.

Today I'm inserting a ton of stuff into an Excel database, one bit at a time.  Necessary stuff.  Boring, boring, boring job.

Thank goodness for Hulu... it's maintained my sanity today.  :-)

Can't Find It!

I hate it when I know I wrote something up and for the life of me, I can't find IT!!!!  I wrote it long-hand, in a spiral notebook; I know I did.  Now whether it actually got typed up is another matter, but there really aren't that many places for something like that to hide.  As much as I may complain about the disorganization, my office is remarkably organized.  Which is why it's so annoying that I can't find this paper.  Sure, I can reacreate it, but blast it! I did it once, I shouldn't have to do it again!  **grumble, grumble**

Dithering

The book is done, well the major work of the book is done for the moment... which is a good thing!!

But everything that's piled up around my house and my office no longer has an excuse for being put off.

Bills to be paid and organized, house to be cleaned, laundry to be done, yard work to be attended to, desk to be sorted through, websites to be updated, websites to be created, email to sort through, and so on, and so on... and that's only the non-writing stuff.  (Read more)

Sick, But Recovering

Thursday I was feeling great and doing wonderful on my new commitment to doing more of what I need to be doing.  But Friday... I woke up, took the kid to school, then was so exhausted I went back to bed.  Mid-afternoon, I woke up long enough to tell #2-son to go pick up his brother, then slept rest of the day and through the night.  Saturday I felt some better and managed to get up and be coherent for my first TV interview.  Which was fun, and more on that later.  But came home and crashed again.  Woke up long enough to get #3-son from boarding school (which is actually here in town). I stayed in the car while he carted stuff to the car.  Got back home and slept the rest of the day and night away. (Read more)
