Not Writing
I’m still not writing, too busy doing other stuff, but the story is bouncing around in my head. I realized today, that if my characters are energy beings, in their energy state, that really throws off my descriptions of physical sensations. They can’t breathe faster, because they don’t breathe. Their hearts can’t beat faster, because they don’t have hearts. Why do I always do this to myself?!?
I spent this weeekend cleaning. The living room and entry way are cleaner than they’ve been in a very long time, and today I got half of the art room emptied (the room that was storage for my office remodel), the floor mopped and waxed, and the beginnings of it put back together. Right now the kitchen is a mess because that’s staging area for the art room cleaning, and my office is a mess, because I’m trying to get the last of the big stuff put into place before I worry about the last of the little stuff. But the house is looking better.
I also bought a new TV Friday night… old one croaked. It was kind of funny how it worked out. I’d decided to go ahead and get an HD TV since I’d have to get a new TV before February of next year anyway, so I went on the web to educate myself. I meant to type in BestBuy but typed in CircuitCity instead. It was a kinda strange mistake, but whatever. I wandered half-dozen sites and got general gist for prices, sizes and features. Got into the car and drove down to the strip-mall corner, meaning to head for Wal-mart to see what they had in stock, and as I sat at the light, right in front of me was a CirciutCity that I’d never seen before. “Okay, I hear you!” I said to the Universe. So I went into CircuitCity, and the first TV I saw was the size I wanted, with the features, and $50 less that anything I’d seen on the web. Works for me! ![]()
So get it home and all hooked up. Now, Saturday afternoon rolls around and I’ve got to try it out while I’m cleaning. Nothing’s on Saturday afternoon broadcast TV, so what movie do I pick? Lord of the Rings. Silly me. Ended the 2nd one after midnight, then watched the 3rd one this morning. Great movies, on a great TV. :-) The extended editions make so much more sense than the movie-theatre versions did.
All-in-all, a great way to spend a weekend.
