Busy Day Planned

Yesterday, I brainstormed with my friend and pinned down the one area that I knew I had a problem and in the process discovered a couple more problems and interestingly enough, their solutions will really make things work better in the next book. I've worried about the Carlisle/Linda book how I was going to rationalize Carlisle doing the stuff he's doing because just on the surface of things it doesn't make sense for him to be that extreme about it... but now it does! Yah! :-)

And today I spend the day doing laundry for the gal I'm cleaning for and getting stuff ready for my kids to spend two weeks with their father... another Yah! :-) We'll clean the back yard of all the toys my nephews dragged out of the basement and never put back, then re-pile the mulch my dog spread all over, and in general pick up the rest of the yard. Then empty the furniture out of my bedroom, so I can spend the next two weeks finishing that up. Last year I completed major plaster repair from water damage in 1/2 the room and did a fancy paint-job on the walls. So now I have to do the other 1/2, which is only a tiny bit of plaster work compared to the other side, but it's still a mess. While the kids are gone I'll sleep in one of their rooms and work on mine. Then if we have time I want to put up a plant-holder. All that should keep me entertained for the day.

Then next week, while my kids are gone, I'll edit 'A Happy Medium'. I'm really looking forward to having it done. I've had this horrible vision of one of the people I sent the partial off to saying they want to see the rest and me having to say 'well you can't see it because it's not done.' Not a good thing. Besides the fact this book has been hanging over me for over four years and I'm ready to kick it out the door. In my spare time over the next two weeks, I'll work on stuff around the house and write 'Only the Beginning'. That should keep me busy.
