I absolutely positively hate writing a synopsis.... hate, hate, hate it! AAarrrrgggghhhh!!!

Does that give you a hint of my day?

Silly me, I was thinking of entering a contest with my story. And all they want is the first chapter and a one-page synopsis... how hard could that be?

I knew better. I really knew better. I've tried to do synopses before. Tried and failed. It is an art. Totally an completely an art. 

And a very subjective art at that. Every where you look, everybody you talk to, has something different to say about how to write a synopsis. 

It's just plain not fair!

But, back at it tomorrow. Because, if nothing else, it's forcing me to do a lot of work on focusing the plot of the story, which it really needed. And it's good to get the work on the plot donebefore I start the re-write, rather than after.

So, tomorrow, more synopses... what fun.
