I like rain... rain is much better than drought. But, jeez-oh-petes! Enough is enough!

Even admitting that I'm one of the lucky ones in the Chicago-area... I haven't lost power for longer than a couple minutes. No water in my basement. My backyard is water-logged, but not a swimming pool. So, I'm lucky, without a doubt... but come on... enough already!

The funny thing is that I probably wouldn't even be bitching about it if the storm hadn't taken out my DSL. It's amusing to realize how addicted my household is to the internet, and how much we all take it for granted. But, the DSL finally seems to be back up, so that's good.

And today, I spent doing non-internet things. My desk is not clean, yet, but much cleaner than it was this morning.
