Dog & Kids

Can I just get rid of all of them? Life would be cheaper and easier. *sigh*

The dog, a Husky I got from the pound three years ago, has been limping on her right hind leg for a while. Took her into the vet, couldn't find anything obvious wrong, hoped it would go away, it didn't, so he said to take her into the animal hospital with the fancy equipment to see if they could find the problem. So, in my endless list of appointment makings yesterday, I finally got an appointment for her, and took her in this morning (instead of working). And... long story short, it isn't her hips, it's her knee. She tore something and needs surgery to fix it. Joy of joys. It's only money, right?

And #4-son is starting the teenage homework-is-optional-isn't-it? stage... again *sigh*. He's failing BAND, of all things, because he's not taking the playing tests. He's got four world history assignments that are "in his locker someplace" and he's missing three math assignments.

Then #2-son goes in tomorrow morning to get three wisdom teeth pulled, to the tune of $500 for my part of it. So no work again tomorrow morning. Oh, and #2-son needs new tires on his car. It's only money, it's only money, etc.

This is one of those days where I'm tempted to give them all to the Ex and go hide someplace for a long time... wouldn't that be a shock to the new wife? :-)

But I'm not that cruel. I think a better option is to just finish my Baileys and head to bed early. Tomorrow will be a better day.

And all the new snow is pretty. I grew up in the north, and I really miss snow, so it's nice when we get some, even if it only stays for a week.
