All of the kids came home for Easter and it was really good to have them here all together.  After years and years of being stressed-to-the-gills by too many kids, with three of them gone most of the time, I find that I really miss them.  So it felt really good to have them home.

They colored eggs late Saturday evening, Easter bunny came at 8am Easter morning (having realized in the last several years that staying up later than housefull of teenagers is impossible), then about mid-day family arrived and we had a huge Easter dinner.  And, silly Easter bunny brought each of them Nerf guns, so we had ongoing wars all day.  So, a good time was had by all.

The other thing I did this weekend while they were all home is bribe them to work on my to-do list... and it was worth every penny it cost me.  I have curtains in my kitchen, for the first time since I moved in the house seven years ago. The entire first floor is cleaned and mopped.  The basement is picked up.  The kids to-be-kept books are sorted and shelved.  And many other little things are done, to my vast relief. 

Sure, there's more to do-- it's a 100yo house so there's always more to do-- but a major start has been made on DeStressing myself and it feels really good.  For the first time in a very long time, I can feel the stories beginnig to rumble, and that's a very good feeling. 

So, more work on my to-do list over the next few days and hopefully by the end of the week I actually be writing again.  My fingers are crossed.
