Office, Teeth & Allergies
My folks left around noon, about the same time I left for the dentist to have my root canal re-done. I’d rather have taken them to the airport, but it’d be nice to be able to sleep soundly again, so root-canal was my priority, and my Ex’s new wife took my folks to the airport.
Office status: All the cabinets are up around my desk, my desk moved back into place and my computer set up. But, nothing has been unboxed and the other half of the office is yet to have all the cabinets put together. So more to do, but already it’s a VAST improvement over what it was like before. So, many thanks to my folks for coming up: my father for helping, and my mother for cooking and holding down the fort while I worked on the remodel. I couldn’t have done it without them.
Teeth: Had the root canal done in April, but it was still bothering me, so I went back to the dentist, who sent me to a specialist. Today, the specialist opened the tooth back up and, after 2.5 hours in the chair, located and cleaned out the 4th root. Teeth are only supposed to have 3 roots, but of course I have to be difficult. The good news is that he found it, it explains why I was having so much trouble, the regular dentist didn’t do anything wrong, and… after a couple days, I should be able to get a decent night’s sleep. I’m really looking forward to that.
Allergies: I’m having either having the nastiest allergy attack I’ve ever had, or the first cold I’ve had in 5 or 6 years, or a combination of both, but jeez-oh-petes I’m having a hard time breathing. Not fun at all. I know I have problems with dust, but I’d never had problems during a remodel like this. Yet, as I consider, I don’t think I’ve done anything of this magnitude in the winter with all the windows closed. So all the more incentive to get it done and the house cleaned up again, so I can breathe.
