Yesterday was pretty much a wasted day. I had so few functioning brain cells that it took me all day to re-engineer and put together one cabinet, and after all that time, it still wasn’t right. *sigh* I went over to my usual Saturday-thing because I couldn’t work up the energy to make my own dinner, then came home and crashed.

Today I slept in a long time. Well, it was really a cross between sleeping in and planning a new short-story/novella. It’s going to be really cool. :-)

I finally got up about lunchtime, with energy for the first time in a couple weeks, but I couldn’t make cabinets on my own. Since the Ex had the kids this weekend, I went over and picked up #4-son and we spent the afternoon re-engineering, putting together and hanging cabinets. After six hours of non-stop work, I took him out to dinner and dropped him back at Ex’s to finish his homework. Then I came home and put the last of the cabinet doors on, cleaned up my mess, dusted everything off and mopped the floor.

So, only one more cabinet to re-enginner, build and hang, and one skinny not-quite-cabinet to engineer and build, all involving only one more trip to the hardware store… and I will be done!

Well, done except for the small chore of putting everything back into the room. Which of course involves finding new homes for everything… what fun… not!

But it sure will be nice to have it done!

And it’s nice to be on the mend, only the sniffles left; I hate being sick.
