Only 1800 words today and a little editing, and I'm trying to give myself credit for that instead of being disappointed I didn't match yesterday's numbers, especially since it was a busy (out and about) day.

The other thing I did today... I finally gathered my courage and emailed Dorchester and called TOR to check the status of the manuscripts I sent last June. Up until today I was happier getting no answer than getting a 'no' answer. Well... I haven't heard back from TOR, but Dorchester promptly emailed back and said they never got it. Which is actually a good thing, since a couple weeks ago I finally admitted to myself that I seriously screwed up the beginning and I was really worried that when they finally got around to reading it they'd hate it because of the crappy beginning. And... Leah invited me to send a revised copy directly to her... which is good news. The only problem is that I know what's broke, but I'm not sure how to fix it. Guess it's never easy...
