Of course, it's never as easy as it should be. We lost the instructions, yet again, so we had to improvise which branches go on which layer. And then #3-son belatedly figured out that the pile he thought was tagged with one color was really two different sized branches, so 1/2 the tree (with lights already strung) had to be taken back apart (it's a 9' tree, so a lot of branches had to come back off). And the string of lights that wouldn't light, wasn't one bad bulb, it was 27 bad bulbs. I sacrificed another bad string to supply bulbs, but it took a while to get it working again. And #1-son isn't as nearly as perfectionistic as I am about getting branches floofed nicely... and that's driving me buggy.

I have to get all the christmas presents into the mail this week, so they make it to Texas before we do. Because my minivan isn't big enough for me, four boys, a siberian husky and christmas presents. Which means I actually have to SHOP sometime soon! Eeeek!

And tomorrow is the christmas party for my RWA chapter, which includes turn-over of all the officers to the new people. Which I'm thrilled with... I'm done being VP. But it means that I have to do a bunch of clean up, and organizing so the new VP has a clue where to go from here. The party also includes a book exchange, which was my idea, so I could get a bunch of duplicates and books I didn't want off the shelves... but it means that I need to sort through the duplicates and books I don't want. Argghhh!

Then I found out this evening that I'm having a houseful of company on Saturday (18 at last count). The good thing is that the house doesn't have to be spotless for these folks, but I do need to find enough horizontal surfaces for us to all eat on... which will be a challenge.

And this, and that, and this other thing, and I can't find my desk again, and... and... and trying to get everything done at the moment, is driving me bug-nuts.

Where's the Baileys? I need Baileys. :-)
