A New Convert

Index Cards and Plotting

 I was having lunch with a writer-friend the other day and we got onto the topic of plotting. She says she can't write without a detailed outline, then she told me the process she goes through to put her outline together. It was very interesting to hear how another writer's brain works. Reviewing My Options

 I don't have a job, yet, and my household fix-up tasks are getting caught up, so I'm turning my focus back to my writing. (Read more)

Job Hunt Status Report

 No job, yet. I found two jobs, either of which would be quite acceptable: reasonable pay, short commute, flexible hours, casual dress, telecommute when kids are sick, and I know enough to be productive from the start. But the first place just called and told me I'm still in the running, but the boss put the hiring date off for a couple months. And the second place, is well known for being horribly slow about the time it takes to hire people. <sigh> So I'm still looking. (Read more)
